Derek Nicholson’s entry into the world of investment migration dates back to 2015. He previously worked in the banking industry. Derek helps many clients obtain alternative residency or citizenship, either through dealing with the clients directly, or by working with colleagues within the same company, or through external agents.

As Senior Processing Manager, he has overseen the processing function within several offices, managing a team of processing managers, responsible for supporting clients and colleagues with the submission and ongoing monitoring of both residency and citizenship applications, through to their conclusion. He works closely with governments providing programs such as the Maltese Exceptional Investor Naturalization (MEIN) and the Malta Permanent Residence Program (MPRP), among others.

Derek Nicholson has also worked within the senior management team, reviewing, improving, and implementing changes to existing processes, as well as introducing new ones. More recently, as well as managing the processing function for Latitude, he is also working directly with high-net-worth individuals and their families, successfully guiding them through the complexities of securing residency and citizenship through investment.

Originally from the UK, Derek lived in Malta for 14 years, before moving to Brazil in 2023. He lives in South America with his wife and young daughter.
