Türkiye Citizenship by Investment may be suitable for internationally mobile individuals and families seeking citizenship through a real estate or other qualifying investment route, with no residence requirement, family inclusion, dual citizenship, and access to a strategically located market between Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

Benefits of Türkiye Citizenship by Investment

The Türkiye Citizenship by Investment Program has an estimated processing time of approximately four months from submission. Timelines can vary depending on document readiness, investment completion, due diligence, residence permit processing, and government review.

The Turkish passport offers enhanced visa-free or visa-on-arrival travel access, including to Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore. Travel access can change over time and should always be confirmed before making travel plans.

Turkish citizens may be eligible for an E-2 Investor Visa in the United States after being domiciled in Türkiye for three years, valid for a five-year renewable period. This may be relevant for entrepreneurs and investors who wish to explore future business opportunities in the United States. Türkiye citizenship does not guarantee approval for a US E-2 visa. Any US visa application is subject to separate eligibility requirements, investment requirements, residence considerations, and assessment by the relevant US authorities.

The Türkiye Citizenship by Investment Program allows eligible family members to be included in the application. This may include the main applicant's spouse or legal partner, and dependent children aged 0–17.

Full citizenship is granted to the applicant and included family members and is passed on by descent. Applicants should seek advice on how citizenship may apply to their specific family circumstances and future generations under Turkish nationality law.

Türkiye permits dual citizenship. Applicants should also confirm whether dual citizenship is permitted under the laws of their current country or countries of citizenship before applying.

There is no residence requirement. This makes Türkiye Citizenship by Investment relevant for applicants seeking a citizenship route without the need for ongoing physical residence in the country.

The real estate route is one of the most popular pathways for Türkiye Citizenship by Investment. Applicants may qualify through a real estate purchase starting from USD $400,000, subject to program requirements and the required holding period. Any potential return depends on the property selected, market conditions, fees, taxes, holding costs, and exit terms.
